"A Journey Through Time: Unraveling the Key Moments That Shaped Our Story."
2005-2006
Many great things usually start off small. It takes one man to change the narrative.
- 25 year-old Pastor Tobi arrived in London, United Kingdom from Nigeria in February 2005 and began pastoring 16 people in his uncle’s house in Peckham.
- Pastor Tobi had a passion for helping young people, especially those involved in gang culture and the streets in his local area.
- Despite the pressure to remain conventional, Pastor Tobi was unconventional, preaching a different message and empowering people to excel beyond the norm.
2007-2008
Ashosh House.
- The gathering transitioned from a house fellowship to a church, with approximately 30 people regularly attending services held at Ashosh House — a local community hall.
- Regular initiatives were organised to engage young people in the community, including hosting breakfasts and weekly activities like game nights and cinema outings.
- Even at an early stage of the church, Pastor Tobi was also supporting members and non-members financially as well as aiding young people to pursue their dreams and aspirations during this time.
- Following his release from prison at 20-years-old, Samuel Akokhia was introduced to Pastor Tobi — who was in his late twenties at the time — by his mother who wanted him to have a better life.
2009-2010
Rebuilding the broken walls.
- The church grew to hundreds, and to accommodate the growth, it moved to a new location at 87A Newington Causeway.
- To mark his 30th birthday, Pastor Tobi released his first book, with a book launch at Hilton Hotel, London Paddington.
2011-2012
A church on the move.
- In February 2011, the church moved into its first building in Lewisham where hundreds of people gathered.
- Significant amounts of money were invested into renovation works to transform the building into functional spaces including offices, a children’s department, and an auditorium.
- After the investment of these funds, they ultimately lost the building—an unexpected turn that unknowingly set a new standard for operating without a permanent, physical location. During this transitional period, the church began using Novotel and Greenwich Picturehouse as temporary bases.
- This marked the beginning of a new era for the church—one defined by mobility and the use of unconventional venues such as hotels and luxury spaces, a distinctive hallmark of SPAC Nxtion that continues to this day.
- In 2012, the church relocated to Lancaster House, which served as its permanent base for several years, during which many more young people joined the church and began to seek Pastor Tobi’s leadership.
2013-2014
The inception of House Fellowships.
- While based at Lancaster House, the church doubled in attendance and even held two Sunday services — a morning and an afternoon session — to accommodate the growth.
- House Fellowships were formed covering multiple areas throughout London; Peckham, Elephant & Castle, Islington, Croydon, Camberwell, Bermondsey.
- A major response was made following the death of Fico Dougan who was stabbed to death in the borough of Croydon leading to the creation of ‘Fico’s World’ under Pastor Tobi’s leadership.
